Why we exist

No Filipino child growing up in Britain should ever feel a stranger to their own heritage.

The London Filipino Centre began as a whisper: one father's quiet worry that his son understood Filipino but could not speak it. A community survey in 2014 confirmed the worry was shared. On 12 July 2016, twenty children arrived at a taster class built for ten. Ten years on, LFC is a community where the language, Baybayin and the culture of the Philippines live, breathe and grow, far from home.
